The novel I am reading Where Things Come Back has actually two parallel stories with different conflicts. In the first story the main conflict occurs when Cullen Witter loses his younger brother Gabriel. He tries to keep his fragile family together after the tragic event.  In the second story the conflict is internal. The main character Benton Sage, a young missionary, had lost his faith and tried to find it wherever he could. I think the conflict will be solved when this two stories join together and when Cullen Witter finds his younger brother Gabriel.
