The book "The Art of Keeping Cool" was written by Janet Taylor Lisle, she got a Scott O'Dell award for a historical fiction book. The Scott O'Dell award is given when authors write historical fiction books for kids or teenagers. Janet Taylor Lisle grew up in a big family she was the only girl in the family (she had 4 brothers). Janet's father was writing stories when he was young, but when he got a job he stopped writing, he was writing a fantasy but he died before he finished it. Janet has a daughter, she is also a writer, she spends time with her mother talking about different kinds of books, not just Janet's.
