Right now I am reading the book The Wind in the Willows, by Kenneth Grahame. This book has 284 pages. The characters in this book are animals. The genre of this book is fiction. In the first chapter, Mole, one of the characters, is cleaning his house and then going out for a walk. On his walk Mole meets Water Rat, known as Rat in the book. Mole and Rat make friends. Rat invites Mole for a trip in his small rowing boat. On their boat trip Rat and Mole see Toad, a boastful creature who changes his opinion about things too often. While arguing Mole and Rat fall into the water. This chapter ends with the main characters telling each other stories and going to bed. I think that I like this book because of the way that the scenes and characters are described. The animals speak and act like humans and that makes this book so special.

Fix- ups to My post... by Mai
The title of my book is The Wizard of Oz and it has 189 pages. I would like to recommend this book because it tells the story in a different way than most of us know it (not the plot, just the way the author explains the story). I like it because the story is sort of told completely and not put into parts that some are just skipped.
Horrible Histories
I read a chapter called The Revoltting English. The part I am writing about is called Dreadful Diary 5 November - Good Guy Day OR Glorious Day. In England the 5 November is a day when you set up a fire work display to celebrate the capture of Guy Fawkes(Guy Fawkes tryed to burn parliment when Stuart King James 1 was inside).
Guy refused to betray his friends. He was tortured by being streched on a rack but still refused to speak. Only when his friend s were killed he spoke. There month later after he was arrested he was taken to be hanged, have his guts cut out and burned, then have his head cut off and his body chopped into quaters.
Here is an example of a comic:
One group of peasants set London house on fire and came across some barrels.
What's in these, then?
Probaebly gold and silver.
Throw it on the fire then.
Good idea...
If they'd only looked inside they'd have seen the barrels were full of...
Gunpowder.
Ooops!
They died.
I recomend reading Horrible Histories and watcing the TV series. If you type Horrible Histories into youtube you will get a nica selection.

My book is The Lost Hero. it is about three people (one girl and two guys) called Jason, Leo, and Piper. the story started when Jason woke up on a bus and did not remember anything. thru a few hours he discovers that he is a demigod and that he lives in a world where mythology is real. Wizard Of Oz by L. Frank Baum
The book I'm reading is about an orphan called Dorothy that lives in Kansas. She lives in a house that is basically a room (4 walls) and the place she lives in is lonely and grey. Dorothy has a little terrier called Toto. Dorothy and her family got carried away to a Munchkin land by a cyclone. She wants to go back home so she has to go to a wizard at the center of Oz. On her way she sees a scarecrow that wants to have a brain in his straw stuffed head; so Dorothy takes the scarecrow with her to her journey to Oz.
My first 30 pages
My first 30 pages were interesting.Well first of all my book is called "13 Little Blue Envelops".Its about a seventeen year old girl who's name is Ginger. Her aunt sent her a envelope with a little adventure and then one of Ginger's aunt best friend gave a package saying "to Ginger".In that package are 13 blue envelopes you will read further information if you keep on reading.Once you open the book you will notice a little introduction. At the top it says: Inside little blue envelope 1 are $1000 and instructions to buy a plane ticket. In envelope 2 are directions to a specific London flat.Because of envelope 4 Ginny and her artist, a playwright/thief/bloke-about-town called Keith, go to Scotland together, with somewhat disastrous-though utterly romantic-results.Ginny isn't sure she'll see Keith again, and definitely doesn't know what to think about him.Could the answers be in the envelopes?Ginny doesn't know it,but adventures in Rome and Paris are in envelope 6 and 8.The rules are that she has to open one at a time, in order,so perhaps it isn't surprising that she discovers things about her life and love one by one.Everything about Ginny will change this summer, and its all because of 13 little blue envelopes.I hope you liked the little intro of this book
Hunger Games
Right now I am reading a very interesting book called The Hunger Games. The Hunger Games is about a sixteen year old girl called Katniss Everdeen. She lives in Panem, a country built on top of North America when it went under. In Panem there is one Capitol, and twelve districts around it. Every year the districts have to send two tributes from age 12-18. They have to fight in a big arena, that could contain everything from desert to ice cold mountains. They have to fight, and the last one alive, wins the Hunger Games. But who is going to be picked this year?

So far, this book is about a girl who just turned into sixth grade with her best friend, Tam.
Tam is a girl who always wear pretty clothes, nice and polite.
Every boys gets shy around Tam.

How is Allie going to go through a middle school with glommers- girls who never go anywhere alone- and norks- a combination of a nerd and a dork, just with Tam and exfriend and untrusty friend, Renee??
