Antagonist and Protagonist of The Hobbit Ben

By J.R.R Tolkein

The Protagonists:
Since it is a group of people who are moving forward to the Lonely Mountain. The protagonists are Bolbao Bagins, the Dwarfs which include Balin,Fili,Thorin,Kili etc.. and Gandolf. They all have one point that is to regane the Lonely Mountain from Smaug and to split the gold that everyone gets some gold but it is also for the dwarfs to regane their old power house of production of gold and trade.

The Antagonist:
So far only Smaug but in the story their are none so far but since I watched the movies I know that their will be another 1 or 2. Smaug is a dragon who invaded the Lonely Mountain coming from the north were the majorit of dragons are inhabited, he distroyed everything but kept the gold since every dragon is known for being greedy and wanting gold only and would do anything for gold.

The Wizard of Oz
By Jane Goodall

The protagonist of my novel "The Wizard of Oz" by L.Frank Baum is a little girl named Dorothy. She is well-grown child. Dorothy used to live in the Great Kansas Prairies with her uncle and aunt. She was an orphan that came to her Aunt that had never laughed at first. Dorothy had a black dog called Toto that she enjoyed playing with and that always made her happy. Dorothy's age is unknown in the book but I think its approximately around 10,11, and/or 12. She is wearing a gingham dress with white and blue checks on it, white tights , her hair tied with a pink sunbonnet wicked witch of the east's silver shoes that Dorothy was given from the Witch of the North after Dorothy's house killed the mean Wicked Witch of the East. Dorothy's adventure/journey is to the Emerald City to ask the Great Oz to send her back to her aunt and uncle in Kansas which is going to be a long journey.

The antagonist in this novel is not a person/creature. Its the cyclone that occurred unexpectedly in Kansas where Dorothy lived in. The cyclone caused the trouble which was Dorothy being in the land of Munchkins and the journey to the Emerald City to meet the Great Oz who is an scary oz in order for Dorothy to get back to her aunt and uncle since she is not a grown up yet.
The antagonist in this novel is also kind of nature in this case. The surrounding around Dorothy while she is on the journey, so the dark forests that Dorothy doesn't feel comfortable in, the rough road which makes Dorothy hard to walk on and lots of other nature surroundings which makes it hard for Dorothy to get to Emerald City but Dorothy was never going to give up because going to back to Kansas is really important to her.

Hatchet-Seohyun`

Protagonist and Antagonist of Hatchet:

Protagonist of this book is called Brian Robeson. He is 13 years old boy. He was on his way to his dad, but the pilot dies of heart attack so of course the plane crashes in the middle of Canadian Forests. Brian is a protagonist because the author talks about him the most.

Antagonist of this book is Nature. I can't really describe how nature looks like because nature is nature itself. Nature is the antagonist because it's the thing that is threatening Brian to death.

                                 Changes in Latitudes

                                                        By: Will Hobs

The protagonist is Travis, he is also the main character of this book he was thin and tall, and is 16 years old.Travis had two siblings.  One of his siblings was Teddy he is also the main character, he is the smallest.Teddy loves animals and plants basically all about nature. He has a sister called Jennifer, she is the middle  child. Jennifer is 14 years old, she is very nice and kind. The antagonist is death because when they went to the beach Teddy , Travis, and Jennifer saw dead turtles on the shore of the beach and it made Teddy really sad and that is one of the things that really stopped  Teddy from making life for turtles easier.

The Book Theif- Ronia- Protagonist and antagoist

The protagonist of "The Book Thief" is a girl named Leisel Memiger. She has dark blond hair, blue eyes, and is very interested in learning new vocabulary and reading. She is young, and is either a teen or pre-teen. She always works defiantly to learn and read. The antagonist of this novel is death. Death actually is the narrator and is against everyone and everything. He affects all of the characters in the book, including the protagonist, in the end of the novel.

Dasha- antagonist and protagonist

The protagonist in my story is a fairly young man called M. Annorax who is a marine biologist. He is around 25 years of age although it doesn't really say exactly in the book. He has dark brown hair and is fairly tall. He is also very intelligent this is demonstrated through the fact that when he is offered a place in the crew to find the mysterious monster and he is not afraid

The antagonist in the book is the sea creature although they dont really say a lot about it because of the fact that it is a mysterious creature they do say that it is around 20  meters in length and is something like a giant squid

Ella Enchanted- Nina

Ella Enchanted is a book about a girl called Ella. The protagonist is Ella, she is a very obedient girl. She is also very kind. Ella is very curious and she loves to ask questions. I still don't know who the antagonist is.

The Princess Bride - Lola

The Princess Bride

I am reading "The Princess Bride" written by William Goldman.

In this book, everybody can have a different perspective on who the protagonist is and who the antagonist is. This is my perspective.

The protagonist's in this book are Westley and Buttercup. Buttercup is the fairest maiden in all the land, with her astonishing long, blonde hair. She is very curios and is very emotional. She used to live on a farm with her parents, but was later forced by Prince Humperdinck, to get married to him. Buttercup could either marry him (because of her beauty) or die. Westley is very brave and quiet. He is very persistent. He used to work on the farm that Buttercup lived in. But then he went to America. He came back many years later, stronger, more skillful and braver. He became the man in black, but after battling Fezzik, Inigo and Vizzini, he revealed himself to Buttercup. BUT, Buttercup was then found again by Prince Humperdinck and he took her back to the castle. But locked Westley in the Zoo of Death to be tortured. Buttercup knows nothing about Westley in the Zoo of Death.

The antagonist in this book is Prince Humperdinck. Prince Humperdinck is very nasty, tricky and mean. He is the prince of Florin and soon to be the king. He has a very big passion for hunting animals and because of this he created the Zoo of Death. Prince Humperdinck forced Buttercup to marry him because of her beauty. When Buttercup ran away he was looking for her, because he knew she was with Westley. He took her back to the castle and locked Westley in the Zoo of Death, separating Buttercup and Westley. He told Count Rugen to torture Westley. He then told Buttercup that Westley was away at sea. He is not a very nice man. He told Buttercup this because he promised her if Westley replies her letters, she could get married to him, if he does not she gets married to Humperdinck.

Travel Team

Travel Team
By: Mike Lupica

The main character and the character that is most said and explained is Danny Walker. He is a basketball player in the book. He is young and pretty small for his age compared to his friends. He is 4"8 ft. tall. He has sand colored hair. He is very motivational and never gives up because of that he is small and not like the other kids. He leads his team to victory himself.

The antagonist in the story I'm reading is the team that kicked Danny out of the team because he is too short. This made the book much more interesting and there we can see how Danny struggles to become a basketball player.
LORD OF THE FLIES
WILLIAM GOLDING
ANTAGONIST AND PROTAGONIST
Ralph is the central character. He is also the protagonist that successfully leads the band of boys. He is a fantastic leader full of enthusiasm and hope. He is always trying to resolve depressing or hazardous situations .  Sometimes he can be quite offensive to Piggy. Piggy is a sensitive plump boy. He has helped Ralph with many ideas, especially with trials of survival.

However, there is a child who is trying to stop Ralph’s reign.
Jack is an aggressive, psychopathic child. He adores arguing. Worst of all he is plotting treason against the leader of the party.

The island is also an antagonist in a way. Nature complicates their fight for survival. The children should not have to kill animals. The isolation from adults allows them to think that killing is acceptable.

Ghost Canoe

Ghost Canoe

WILL HOBBS

The Protagonist
After a sailing ship breaks up on the rocks off Washington's storm-tossed Cape Flattery, Nathan McAllister, the fourteen-year-old son of the lighthouse keeper (but also the protagonist), refuses to believe the rumors, who say there were no survivors. Unexplained footprints on a desolate beach, a theft at the trading post, and glimpses of a wild "hairy man" convince Nathan that someone is hiding a mystery/secret that nobody is familiar of.

The Antagonist
"Mr. Kane"( the antagonist of this story) lead Nathan to sensibly conclude that the mystery has more to do with real people than ghosts.

Ghost Canoe

Protagonist and Antagonist

The protagonist of the novel The Phantom Tollbooth is Milo. Milo is a boy who lives in an unnamed town and one day gets a peculiar male that sends him into another dimension. Milos personality is that he is very bored and thats how the book starts he talks about how everything is boring for him even the major amount of toys he has in his room. Milo isn't a very described character neither are the worlds he visits but judging by the cover of the book he has blond hair and is not so tall. The book doesn't say how old he is but since he goes to school and has toys I think that he's about ten to twelve years old.

The antagonist of this novel is Ignorance. Ignorance means to be un'educated and in this case the lack of knowledge and lack of inquiry prevents Milo from overcoming the conflict. Ignorance is also the area where all the scary demons are in the Island of Conclusions. I think that the author tried to show how bad ignorance or being ignorant is by making Ignorance the home to all the demons, this also shows how ignorance un helped Milo from reaching the Castle in the air.
The setting of the book The Phantom Tollbooth starts in a place in the normal world that has no name. After Milo enters the Tollbooth he gets transported into another world called The Lands Beyond and there even a map showing wheres which land located. The towns in this world are the Doldrums, The city of Dictionopolis, The Forest of Sight, The valley of Sound, The land of conclusions, Digitopolisand and mountains of ignorance.  In the land of Dictionopolis people like to say big words and eat words for lunch. The forest of sight is a very big and colorful forest where illusions are produced.

The Phantom Tollbooth :SUMMARY

Milo is an ordinary boy except he seems to be bored and dull all the time.

Protagonist and Antagonist of Hatchet - Miles

           Hatchet

The Protagonist of Hatchet is Brian Robinson. Brian Robinson is 13 year old boy who is on his way to visit his dad on a plane. On the way to his dad the plane crashes. Brian crashes some where in Canada. Brian is the Protagonist because he is the main character and he has to survive in the wild.
The Antagonist is nature. Nature does not have any physical features like Brian. Nature is the Antagonist in this story because nature is trying to stop or kill Brian by thirst, hunger and any other     wild things that can happen to you in any way.

House of Secrets Protagonists and Antagonists-Christoffer

In my book there is not only one protagonist. It is the a family made up of children named Brendan, Eleanor and Cordelia. Those are the protagonists in my story. They are set into a book made by Kristof and have to be brave and clever to get out alive.

The antagonists in my book is The Wind Witch and Kristofs characters in his books. The characters are really strong, mean and very hard to deal with. It also makes it harder for the protagonists to get out alive.

The War of the Worlds protegonist and antagonist

Author- H.G Wells
The protagonist  in my book is the guy called Ogilvy.  H e is the old man that looked one day at the news papers and saw that the aliens attacked the earth. So he started studying about that looking at telescope to see if it is true. He saw on telescope that there are aliens on mars. A whole city is in the panic and he is trying to discover how to protect all people or to defeat them. The aliens are antagonist in this book. They are trying to attack and destroy the earth. So a whole earth is scared because they attacked them once to show them that it is true. I know they are antagonist because they are against people and they are trying to kill them in this book.
Comment-  I really like this book for now because it has a lot of fighting against aliens, and the you never now what is going to happen next

Monument 14 - Protagonist and Antagonist

The protagonist of Monument 14 is Dean. According to his diary, he is not very athletic, tall, or handsome, and he never wears anything but sweats. He's way too obsessed with this one girl, irresponsible, an "ok" cook, and likes to write instead of type like he was taught to. Dean's problem is that he's stuck inside a shopping mall with 13 other kids, while the girl he liked was wooed by another older, cooler, more athletic guy who was also stuck in the mall. I would not be friends with this person in the beginning of the book, but toward the end he starts to mature and makes a sacrifice that would protect others, but could involve never seeing his family again.

20000 leagues under the sea by Jules Verne -setting

For this quarters book report I decided to read a classic from Jules Verne . The book is called twenty thousand leagues under the sea. this book is about how in the year 1866 several ships from several countries from around the world had mysteriously disappeared and those who didn't had complained about seeing an underwater creature of around 10000 time the size of their ships.

The setting of this story is in an underwater boat on the coast of Europe. It is located around 15 leagues underwater or as most commonly known it is 60 kilometers underwater. The ship has five rooms one is a meeting room where they discuss the plans, then there are 3 cabins ,one for each crew member including Mr.Annorax. Then finally the control panel. In this room here is a giant control panel  and a window of around 6 meters in length.

PA: The Missing - Found (book 1) by Margaret Peterson Haddix

The Missing: Found (book 1)                                   by: Margaret Peterson Haddix

The protagonists in the book Found would be Jonah Katherine and Chip.
Jonah is a 13 year old boy, he is adopted and lives with his adoptive parents and sister Kathrine. Chip is his best friend also 13, he just found out he is adopted and doesn't know how to deal with it. Katherine is Jonah's younger sister who is 12, she is not adopted, but wants to help Jonah and Chip learn about their past. They receive strange mail telling them to BEWARE and SOMEONE IS OUT TO GET THEM and THEY ARE COMING BACK FOR YOU, They decide to figure out who they really are, finding out they are in danger, they have time traveled from where they really are from and someone wants to come and send them away forever.
The antagonists are Gary and Hodge they are a pair of kidnappers, very big and strong, from the original time, not time travelers, hired to kidnap the 36 missing kids and send them back in time to where they were originally supposed to be (the 36 missing kids in the past) and then telling their parents that they all died and have no idea what is going on.

Isidora- Percy Jackson The Lightning Thief

The protagonist is  Percy Jackson. He has black hair and green eyes. He is in a very dangerous situation. Two major gods want to kill him. He's brave because he agreed to go on a quest, even though he's Poseidon's son, that will take him to the Underworld. The problem Percy is facing is that Hades wants to kill him because Poseidon broke his promise not to have kids and because Percy is going to steal the lightning bolt from him. The other problem is that Zeus also wants to kill Percy because he thinks Poseidon stole his lightning bolt. I wouldn't want to be friends with Percy because he would take me with him on an almost impossible quest.
The antagonists are the monsters from the underworld. Percy, Grover and Annabeth have met the Furies and Medusa on their quest so far. The Furies were sent by Hades to kill Percy. Medusa wanted to turn Percy into a statue, but she wanted to slice Annabeth up because her mother, Athena, turned Medusa from a beautiful woman to a monster. The problem is these monsters don't succeed in killing these three kids, they usually get killed instead.  I definitely don't want to be friends with these monsters because of everything I wrote about them above.

The protagonist in my story is Augie Hobble. He is very imaginative and loves going out in the wild and finding the true him. Setting Of Hatchet

Hatchet

The setting of Hatchet so far is in a forest by a lake. The setting of the forest. Brian describes the frost like this there is green trees everywhere, the water is as smooth as glass, there are flies, mosquitoes everywhere, the sky is as blue is light blue, the rocks are on the left and they are a light gray color

The book I am reading for my book report is called "The Wizard of Oz" by L.Frank Baum.

The setting of my novel for the book report is in the midst of the great Kansas prairies and in The Land of Munchkins. The book begins with a girl named "Dorothy" who lived in a small house in the midst of the great Kansas prairies with her uncle and aunt. In the great Kansas prairies, the only things you could see was nothing but the great gray prairies in every side, there were no any trees or any other houses except for the little house that Dorothy and her uncle and aunt lived in. The little house they lived was made of lumber, it had four walls, a floor and a roof, which contains one room where Dorothy, her aunt and uncle sleeps in. There were no garrets, no cellar but only a small cyclone cellar where the family goes in case of a cyclone of one of those whirlwinds arose that can crush any building on its way. The book also takes place in "The Land of Munchkins" after Dorothy's house was brought there by a cyclone while Dorothy was in the house frightened but every thing ended well, Dorothy got to The Land of Munchkins safely with her dog Toto. As you can see from the name, Munchkins live in The Land of Munchkins.  The book is happening in the present. In this book, is doesn't say anything about the weather or the season but I expect it to be windy, kind of cold because of the cyclone that just approached.
