This book begins with a boy named Ben and his dance obsessed parents. Unlike his parents, Ben hated dancing and every Friday when his parents went to dance concerts, he had to stay with his boring granny. Ben's granny had white hair, a hearing aid, smelled like cabbage, and consisted of what normal grannies usually do. He really hated his grandma. But Ben was yet to discover a big secret. While he was looking in a cookie jar, he found jewelry. He was very surprised. He had so many suspicions. That is why one night he decided to follow his granny. He saw her all dressed in black and robbing a jewelry store! He asked his granny all about it and she told him the whole story. About how she started to steal from a young age and how a ring was her first rob.
