Travel Team

Travel Team
By: Milos Milovanovic

The main event of this story or however you want to call it is when Danny encounters its dad being held in the hospital because of his injury. This makes Danny the main coach and player in the same time. This is very hard for Danny but his team leads to victory. The first problem in this story is about Danny and his height. The team he was playing in inhibited him to go to training's because he is too small for his team. He decides to go and make his team with all the boys and girls that were inhibited from basketball practice. There is no third problem or obstacle Danny needed to face with his height or his team. In the end it ends up being a very satisfying and nice season for Danny's team!

Blog Post Alex

Author: Lemony Snicket
Book: The Bad Beginnings

The two obstacles which happen in the book is when the Baudelaire children lose their parents in a fire by an "unknown" reason. What happened is that the kids were on a nice beach without their parents, which is common due to the fact that the parents cant look after the kids because of the parents jobs, and then an adult friend named Poe told them the news about the fire and they went to Poe's house.
The second reason is that due to the death of their parent the children have to suffer, they have to move to different houses and meet people they don't know that much. They also have to suffer bad children and horrible circumstances like going to a small house which is owned by a nice man who worked for the Baudelaire parents and going to a weird house owned by a mysterious man.

The Princess Bride - Lola

The Princess Bride

The book that I am reading is called "The Princess Bride" and is written by William Goldman.

The main conflict of my novel is that Westley and Buttercup are separated. But, just like in any novel, the protagonists have many obstacles in between their goal. 1 obstacle that they encounter is Prince Humperdinck. Prince Humperdinck forces Buttercup to marry him, while Westley was away at sea, or else Buttercup should die (BTW, Buttercup thought Westley was dead, killed by the Dread Pirate Roberts). When Westley came back from sea, he was on the search for Inigo, Fezzik and Vizzini because they had kidnapped Buttercup. This is another obstacle. Westley disguised himself and people called him the "Man in Black". Westley had to do a sword fight with the best swordsman in the world, had to beat a giant and outsmart a genius. He did all of these. When Westley and Buttercup were together again, Buttercup did not know it was Westley. Therefore, she pushed him down into a cave. When she realized it was him, she jumped after him. They now had more conflicts, before being able to be free together, They had the Fire Swamp, Snow Sand and the R.O.U.S's (rodents of unusual size). They got past all of this but at the end of the cave, out in freedom, Prince Humperdinck was waiting for them. He took Buttercup back to the castle and Westley to the Zoo of Death. Buttercup was miserable and one day she called Prince Humperdinck a coward, an idiot, etc. and he killed Westley. But, Inigo and Fezzik (they survived while Vizzini died), took him to Magic Max who revived him. Then they had to find Buttercup (Westley had only little of life left) and Inigo had to kill the man who killed his father. The final obstacle they had were the guards, They had to, somehow, beat 100 guards to get into the castle. They outsmarted them. And everybody lived happily every after (or so I thought...).

In conclusion this book is a Man v.s. Man conflict.

Five Little Pigs Agatha Christie- conflict

The whole conflict in this novel is how Hercule Poirot has to prove that Caroline crale's mom (Caroline crale) was innocent of killing her father.

The Book Thief-Ronia 6A

There are so may conflicts in this novel. The main conflict was when Leisel and her new family, the Hubermanns, help and hide a Jew, whose name was Max, from other Germans.  They had to keep a secret and wondered if they should put themselves in danger for somebody else. In danger to be seen, they had to hide him in the basement. One very big obstacle for Hubermanns was when soldiers were  checking people's basements. Max was nearly seen. Another big obstacle for Leisel was trying to keep all of this a secret from her friend Rudy Steiner. Since he was so nosy, she just had to tell him. A big obstacle for Leisel was the death of her old parents and her brother. This is a man v.s man story because Germans were tough at that time and tiny threats would be treated harshly. Also, Leisel was very bullied at school for not knowing how to read. This is also a man v.s self story because Leisel had to overcome her sadness an fear that she experiences when her loved ones died. Finally, this is also a man v.s nature story because all people are against death and it causes sadness.

LORD OF THE FLIES
William Golding
Conflicts and Obstacles
Ralph and the other children experience many difficulties, especially with social confrontations. They are a society of stranded boys. They all have different personalities so it is incredibly hard for them to communicate without any major conflicts occurring. Thus, the main conflict so far is Ralph’s and Jack’s relationship or battle for the reign. Ralph is extremely naive when it comes to Jack’s decision. Ralph does not realize that secretly Jack is trying to ruin all his schemes.

Not only does Ralph have to deal with Jack but also Piggy. Piggy is exceptionally sensitive. He beseeches Ralph to stop listening to Jack’s suggestions and cunning plans. It is also significantly hard to keep Piggy in safe conditions because of his problems with asthma.

Wizard of Oz Conflict

Wizard of OZ

The book that I am reading for the book report is called "The Wizard of Oz" by L. Frank Baum.
Image result for wizard of oz

The main conflict in this book is between the protagonist and nature. Man vs. Nature. Dorothy vs. Journey caused by the cyclone. Dorothy, who is the protagonist in this book is going on an journey to the Great Wizard of Oz to ask him if he could get Dorothy back to her homeland Kansas with her aunt and uncle.  During this tough and hard adventure/journey, Dorothy and her dog Toto has saved the Straw Stuffed Scarecrow who wants a brain from the Great Oz, Tin Woodman who wants a heart and the cowardly lion that wants bravery because he is the kind of animals in the forest. This journey was very hard to achieve. The reason why its man vs. nature is because during the journey, there are deep deep dark forests, many ditches that are very hard to pass, roads very hard to walk in with human feet. But Dorothy and her friends (Scarecrow, Tin Woodman, Cowardly cow) always had an idea of how to pass challenges during the journey to Emerald City.

                             Changes in Latitudes

                                                           By: Will Hobbs

In the begging of my novel there was a big conflict which really changed their trip, when Travis and his family came to the hotel which was all reserved and paid the manager told them there were no rooms left. So that was horrible because at first they didn't have a place to stay at until their mother found another hotel. The biggest conflict is that turtles are endangered and Teddy wants to do everything to stop that. But sadly, there are two things  that stopped him, turtles dying and people buying turtle creams and soaps.

Anyway, Clary wants to stop her father, Valentine Morgenstern from getting these Mortal Instruments, as he plans to take over the world, and to make the world full with shadow hunters and to kill all demons good and bad.

Conflict of Percy Jackson

The conflict is that World War III is about to erupt and one twelve year-old is the only one who can help save the world.

So,  Percy Jackson thinks Hades stole Zeus's master bolt.  Zeus is blaming Poseidon. In order to save his dad, Percy has to go to the Underworld, take the lightning bolt from Hades and give it to Zeus so he can prove his father's innocent. He has to do all this only in ten days. On his way, Percy encounters a lot of obstacles.

For example, when he met Ares, he told him to go to this water park where Ares was spending time with his girlfriend. He left his shield there and wanted Percy to retrieve it. He didn't know why Ares an Aphrodite ran away from a water park. It turns out, that Hephaestus was filming them and having it broadcast live on Olympus. When Percy and his friends arrived, they thought their task is easy but turns out that as soon as they touched  the shield spiders started crawling out of mirrors and all around them. The water ride, that was broken, went crazy when Annabeth and Percy jumped in. It was supposed to go through these gates but they were closed so Annabeth and Percy jumped up and over the gates.
Another example might be when Percy, Grover and Annabeth meet Chimera and Echidna in the Gateway Arch. The two monsters and Percy destroy the whole building. Percy ends up jumping through a hole in the wall down into the river. But he doesn't have to worry, because his father saves him.

When he finally gets to the Underworld, where his uncle rules, he finds out that something else was stolen at the same time when the lightning bolt was. Hades's Helm of Darkness. That way, it is impossible that Hades stole it. He can't steal his own symbol, can he? So it turns out Ares wanted to steal the two symbols. That would would cause war, as it did, and Ares loves war!
                                               Return to Augie Hobble

The conflict in this story is when Augie Hobble's life is turning upside down. Now his life is all about bullies, death, and love disaster. The bullies cant stop leaving him alone and making fun of him for working in a fantasy land. His best friend dies from allergy and he was one of the only hopes that he had left. Augies crush wont acknowledge him and he cannot give up on her because he is the only hope he has left in his life. Besides from all of that problem he thinks he is a wear wolf. he hs had many thoughts and moments that make him think that he is a wear wolf.

House of Secrets Conflict- Christoffer

During the book the conflict is between the Wind Witch and the protagonists. The Wind Witch tries and tries to kill the protagonists. Though she fails each time due to curse that says you can't kill people who are your family. It is found out that the Wind Witch is their great-great-grandmother. Another conflict in the story is between the different creatures and problems in the books by Kristof which they are banished in. The obstacles that make it harder for the protagonists to escape are the monsters/creatures in the books of Kristof (The Wind Witches father).

Antagonist and Protagonist of The Hobbit Ben

By J.R.R Tolkein

The Protagonists:
Since it is a group of people who are moving forward to the Lonely Mountain. The protagonists are Bolbao Bagins, the Dwarfs which include Balin,Fili,Thorin,Kili etc.. and Gandolf. They all have one point that is to regane the Lonely Mountain from Smaug and to split the gold that everyone gets some gold but it is also for the dwarfs to regane their old power house of production of gold and trade.

The Antagonist:
So far only Smaug but in the story their are none so far but since I watched the movies I know that their will be another 1 or 2. Smaug is a dragon who invaded the Lonely Mountain coming from the north were the majorit of dragons are inhabited, he distroyed everything but kept the gold since every dragon is known for being greedy and wanting gold only and would do anything for gold.

PA of The Wizard of Oz -Nini

The Wizard of Oz
By Jane Goodall

The protagonist of my novel "The Wizard of Oz" by L.Frank Baum is a little girl named Dorothy. She is well-grown child. Dorothy used to live in the Great Kansas Prairies with her uncle and aunt. She was an orphan that came to her Aunt that had never laughed at first. Dorothy had a black dog called Toto that she enjoyed playing with and that always made her happy. Dorothy's age is unknown in the book but I think its approximately around 10,11, and/or 12. She is wearing a gingham dress with white and blue checks on it, white tights , her hair tied with a pink sunbonnet wicked witch of the east's silver shoes that Dorothy was given from the Witch of the North after Dorothy's house killed the mean Wicked Witch of the East. Dorothy's adventure/journey is to the Emerald City to ask the Great Oz to send her back to her aunt and uncle in Kansas which is going to be a long journey.

The antagonist in this novel is not a person/creature. Its the cyclone that occurred unexpectedly in Kansas where Dorothy lived in. The cyclone caused the trouble which was Dorothy being in the land of Munchkins and the journey to the Emerald City to meet the Great Oz who is an scary oz in order for Dorothy to get back to her aunt and uncle since she is not a grown up yet.
The antagonist in this novel is also kind of nature in this case. The surrounding around Dorothy while she is on the journey, so the dark forests that Dorothy doesn't feel comfortable in, the rough road which makes Dorothy hard to walk on and lots of other nature surroundings which makes it hard for Dorothy to get to Emerald City but Dorothy was never going to give up because going to back to Kansas is really important to her.
