Conflict of Percy Jackson

The conflict is that World War III is about to erupt and one twelve year-old is the only one who can help save the world.

So,  Percy Jackson thinks Hades stole Zeus's master bolt.  Zeus is blaming Poseidon. In order to save his dad, Percy has to go to the Underworld, take the lightning bolt from Hades and give it to Zeus so he can prove his father's innocent. He has to do all this only in ten days. On his way, Percy encounters a lot of obstacles.

For example, when he met Ares, he told him to go to this water park where Ares was spending time with his girlfriend. He left his shield there and wanted Percy to retrieve it. He didn't know why Ares an Aphrodite ran away from a water park. It turns out, that Hephaestus was filming them and having it broadcast live on Olympus. When Percy and his friends arrived, they thought their task is easy but turns out that as soon as they touched  the shield spiders started crawling out of mirrors and all around them. The water ride, that was broken, went crazy when Annabeth and Percy jumped in. It was supposed to go through these gates but they were closed so Annabeth and Percy jumped up and over the gates.
Another example might be when Percy, Grover and Annabeth meet Chimera and Echidna in the Gateway Arch. The two monsters and Percy destroy the whole building. Percy ends up jumping through a hole in the wall down into the river. But he doesn't have to worry, because his father saves him.

When he finally gets to the Underworld, where his uncle rules, he finds out that something else was stolen at the same time when the lightning bolt was. Hades's Helm of Darkness. That way, it is impossible that Hades stole it. He can't steal his own symbol, can he? So it turns out Ares wanted to steal the two symbols. That would would cause war, as it did, and Ares loves war!
