1. How does the character of Tony change throughout the short story?
Tony changes through the story drastically. From a buff and mean bully he was in the Middle School he changes to a nice guy who is good to people. Tony bullied Roger when they were kids, but when they grew up and met at the restaurant he was nice and polite.
2. How does this change affect Roger?
Roger realizes that Tony feels bad for what happened when they were kids. He thinks it's sad that Tony is in a wheelchair but is still feeling unhappy because Tony bullied him in the Middle School.
3. What do you think Tony meant when he said, "I guess you're thinking, "What goes around comes around"?
I think this means that Tony got what he deserved because he was mean to Roger. Now we can see that this theory might be correct that if someone is mean the meanness will come back to him some day.

He wanted to tell us that bullying is not okay and then something bad might happen. This is why being nice is always good. Some things can be accomplished with kindness which cannot with force.
