When We Wake

I am reading a book called When We Wake. This book has about 300 pages. Karen Healey is the author of my book she has also written Guardian of the Dead, The Shattering and When We Wake all award winning books but she has many more books just as good as these. The mood of this book is probably serious and sad. This book is a very intense about a girl name Tegan who dies on the porch of a Parliament house and she wakes up 100 years later and everything she once had was now all lost.

The setting of the book I am currently reading is the street of the main Tegan's house, the Parliament House and and inside the hospital. This book has been written like it is in the future and the date is 2027 then later in the book the date is 2127.

Anastasis First Posting About Al Capone

The title of the book that I am reading is called Al Capone Does My Shirts and it has 228 pages. The author  of the book is Gennifer Choldenko. There is a series of books from the same author and they have gotten awards. The setting of the story is in the high security prison in Alcatraz next to San Francisco bay. The story is about some kids living in Alcatraz because one or both of their parents work there as guards, electricians and so on.   The time that the story takes place is 1935 but the book was published in 2004

The Giver

I am reading a book called "The Giver" by Lois Lowry. The book has 224 pages. Lois Lowry is also the author of "Number the Stars". The book is about an eleven year old boy named Jonas who lives in a community that has a lot of rules and controls everything you do. In this community life is perfect. There is no war, no hunger and no pain. Jonas is happy enough with his life as part of "the community", but when he gets a job as the receiver of memory he starts discovering more about the community he is part of and starts finding out dark secrets about it. "The Giver" is set in a Utopian society in the future. The mood of the book is suspenseful. Through the eyes of an eleven year old boy we learn about the world, where there is no music, emotion, individuality and freedom of choice. There is no pain but there in no pleasure. Jonas rebels against the society and the reader is kept in suspense.

For my book project I am reading a book called The Oathbound Wizard. The author of this book is Christopher Stasheff. This book has 400 pages. The genre of this book is fantasy. The setting of this book is a country named Merovence. This book uses descriptive language to describe what's happening. Often When I read this book i'ts like I am a character in the book. The narration of this book is third person narration.

This book is  about a student named Matt who is transported to another world. In this world he is a powerful wizard. Another character in this book is the queen Alisande. She wants to marry Matt but he thinks that this marriage wouldn't be appropriate for the country. The queen disagrees with this opinion and wants to marry Matt.

The Black Cauldron
Lloyd Alexander

The book that I am reading is The Black Cauldron written by Lloyd Alexander. The book contains 178 pages I am on the 23 page. Lloyd Alexander has also written The Book of Three, The Castle of Llyr, Taran Wanderer, The High King, and The foundling. All of these books are a part of the same series. The series is called The Chronicles of Prydain.

The setting of this story is in the past. The story starts on a crisp autumn day. In a little farm called Caer Dallben it is near the Great Avren River. It is the home of Taran, Coll, and Dallben. Many of the trees in Prydain were already leafless, and among the empty branches clung the ragged shapes of empty nests. To the south, across the river Great Avren, the hills shielded Caer Dallben. Across the river Great Avren is Caer Dallben’s neighbor Caer Cadarn.

The Late Bus
                                                             Rick Jasper

The book that I am reading is called The Late Bus, written by
Rick Jasper. It contains 105 pages(21
chapters) and the genre is fiction. Other books Rick Jasper have written in the past are Lock In, Messages From Beyond, The Prank, The Protectors, Skin, Thaw, Unthinkable and many more.

This book's setting is located in many different places but my favorite setting is when they are in the bus. The main character is Lamar and he has a friend named Notso. In the book, their bus driver, Miss Robin who was a women with a big heart, died suddenly in the first chapter. So they had a new bus driver called Mr. Rumble but, there is something strange about him. He barely talks and hides secrets. With him, it is always strange and students hear weird noises in the bus.

I will not tell you the whole story because I don't want to spoil the book for you, I really recommend this book, and this is one of my favorite books so far. I would give this book a 9.5/10.
