The Soul of the Silver Dog

Author: Lynn Hall

Well to understand the climax you need to know the book, so here is a brief summary about the story. Cory, a 14 year old girl, who has felt abandoned ever since her sister Bethy (who is now dead) was born. As Sterling, a blind once a star winning  Bedlington Terrier, comes into her life, everything changes. The climax of the story is near the end when after months of practice at the "obstacle course"Sterling  had won 4th place in a not official agility course! Blind! Soon after, he died of Copper toxicosis. A problem when the liver doesn't flush out the copper building waste that eventually causes death if not treated right away. That was BIG spoiler alert but if you want to know more, read the book.

The Staircase By Ann Rinaldi: Climax

The climax, or the most exciting  part, is throughout the whole book. I starts at the end of the beginning. I know that sounds weird, so let me explain. After the very beginning, when the families had finally arrived at Santa Fe, Lizzy was left in Santa Fe with no warning. That is the very beginning of the climax. Now the end of the climax is right before Lizzy moves in with her father (that kind of spoils it). Everything in her life is upside down, everything that she expected to go one way, went the other. Now, that's exactly what happened in the end with the reader. I thought that Lizzy would never forgive her father, move in with her uncle after she finished school. That's where I got hit. The exact opposite happened. Lizzy went to move in with her father, she forgave him, she didn't finish school at Our Lady of Light (the girls catholic school), ad she only sent letters to her uncle. So it starts and finishes the same way, everything is resolved, everyone is at peace.  Now I have to tell you about the middle. The long tangled up middle. I told you the beginning, the one part that I thought was the most exciting, but horrible part was when Elinora (A.K.A. the evil one) poked Lizzy's kitten, Cleo, in the eyes... with a needle! I felt like crying! Can you imagine a cute, poor, defenseless, little kitten taken form her owner and stabbed in the eyes with a needle?! It's okay if you wanna cry. Then the kitten was thrown out the window! I felt so bad, and I'm sure you do too. But, the weird thing is, the kitten was blind for a little while, then some old carpenter, allegedly St. Joseph, held Cleo in his hands and "cured" her form her blindness. I believe it was St. Joseph, but it's up to you to find out! READ THE BOOK! (EVEN THOUGH I JUST SPOILED A LOT OF IT!) FYI, I finished the book.

CHOCOLATE FACTORY 0.3

After that Charlie, the main character of this story went to the factory with the other four children that they The children, once at the factory, are taken to the Chocolate Room, where they are introduced to Oompa Loompas, from Loompaland, who have been helping Wonka operate the factory. While there, Augustus falls into the chocolate and is sucked up by a pipe and eliminated from the tour. They are soon taken to the Inventing Room, where Violet chews a piece of experimental gum, and blows up into a blueberry; she is the second child rejected from the tour. After an exhausting jog down a series of corridors, Wonka allows them to rest outside of the Nut Room, but refuses them entry. Veruca, seeing squirrels inside, demands one from Wonka, but when she is refused, she invades the Nut Room, where the squirrels attack her, judge her a bad nut and throw her down the garbage chute. Likewise with her parents, who go in to rescue her. They go on the Great Glass Elevator to the Television Room, where Mike accidentally shrinks himself to a few inches tall using a teleport Wonka invented, and is the last to be eliminated from the tour.

The climax of this story is when Charlieknow that is the winner because is the only child left then they go into the elevetor, willy wonka press the botton  out and they fly outside of the factory, that was so funny!!!

Star Girl

By: Jerry Spinelli
(#180 out of 180)

Star Girl has won many awards,New York Times bestseller, Parents choice Gold Award Winner,ALA Top Ten Best Books Award and Publishers Weekly Best Book of the year award. I don't think that Star Girl should have won so many awards, because it doesn't have a problem or conflict in the story, it just keeps on repeating things (such as nothing interesting happens) and I think that if a book has no conflict then it is boring for the reader. I would have stopped reading the book but I had no time to read another one, also I just kept on reading because I was hoping to find a conflict.

Troy

Author: Adele Geras

Cover of "Troy"

I am reading a book by Adele Geras that I finished long ago but still found very cool to read over and over again. My book received the ALA Best Book for Young Adults award. I couldn't find what the award was but I think it fits Troy perfectly as the best book. I agree that this book deserved the award because it had a thrilling background and great plot which was easy to understand. It was also interesting because it came up with new surprises. It ends in a great cliffhanger that gets you ready for the next book, Ithaka by Adele Geras. I wish for all of you to read it and enjoy it as much as I did.

The hobbit ~ Awards

Title: "The hobbit"
Author: J. R. R. Tolkien
Pages read: 351
Pages the book has: 351

Dear bloggers and readers,
I am reading a book called "The hobbit" by J. R. R. Tolkien. I finished the book a while ago and I found it very interesting and breathtaking.
"The Hobbit" won the Booklist award and the book was a worldwide bestseller. I wasn't able to find what the Booklist award was for, but I defiantly think that this book should have won an award. I think this because the book is very interesting and you never know what to expect. It teaches us about adventures, braveness, independence, and so much more. The book is about a small hobbit (as I wrote in my previous blogs) who first lives in his small hobbit-hole all alone, but then ends up in an adventure with thirteen dwarfs and a wizard. I am not going to tell you the hole story, or the details, because I want you to read it for yourself, and I hope you do because people who read this book can be any age or gender.
