Cory, a 14 year old girl, who has felt abandoned ever since her sister Bethy (who is now dead) was born. As Sterling, a blind once a star winning Bedlington Terrier, comes into her life, everything changes. The climax of the story is near the end when after months of practice at the "obstacle course"Sterling had won 4th place in a not official agility course! Blind! Soon after, he died of Copper toxicosis. A problem when the liver doesn't flush out the copper building waste that eventually causes death if not treated right away.
