Hey  sixth graders,

This week I was reading a book called Whittington by Alan Armstrong. The main character in my book is Whittington. He is a cat that is silverish-grayish with black stripes. He has a bent tail and one stick up ear and on floppy ear. He is very brave and kind. He is kind because he helps a kid learn how to read and he is brave because he kills rats that try to attack his farm animal friends.

Here is an example from the book of why Whittington is brave : "Whittington came back with a rat in his jaws. Hid front paw was bloody."

Here is an example from the book of why Whittington is kind : There is no quote from the book explaining why he is kind. It tells that Whittington helps a boy read but it tells you in not just one sentence but throughout a page and more.

I hope you want to read Whittington! It is a great book!

This is a picture describing a scene of the book Whittington.
Whittington is a really good book. Especially if you like cats or animals in general.
Even if you do not particularly like animals Whittington has other things besides just animals as well.
The book also has some made up history.
