The Running Dream has so far won the Schneider Family Book Award, Virtual Museum of the Golden Sower Award, and Nebraska's children's Choice Award for Literature. I think that it deserves all theses awards because it really shows a new viewing of how a person may feel. The intensity and love and hope all wrapped around the book really put some feeling into the book. Losing a leg is a hard thing to bear, but with the help of family and friends as well as herself, Jessica was able to con-quire this disadvantage. A truly deserving book.
