The Hobbit

The book I am reading for my book reading for my book report is "The Hobbit" by J.R.R Tolkien. The main character in this book is Bilbo Baggins. He is a hobbit that lives in a hobbit-hole. He lives alone and he does not like adventures. He lives a very calm and peaceful life. His hobbit-hole was not a disgusting hole. The book describes the hole in this way: "Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit-hole, and that means comfort." (p. 4) The book also describes Bilbo as a well-to-do hobbit. Bilbo's mother was the well-known Belladonna Took, and his father was Bungo Baggins. Bilbo was a very little person, about half our height, and smaller than the bearded Dwarfs, as all the hobbits were than.
