Monster

My book, written by Walter Dean Myers, Monster is a drama novel and was published in 1999. The book won the Michal L. Printz Award in 2000, was named a Coretta Scott King Award Honor the same year, and was nominated for the 1999 National Book Award for Young People's Literature.
Pages read 264/281
The book is a mixture of the screenplay and diary of Steve Harmon. Steve Harmon was probably cooperating with Mr. King, he has helped him to check if the shop is clear. But  I do not know for sure yet. The book is written from Steve Harmon's perspective. There are some notes from his diary as well. The book also tells you what you would see in the movie, where is the camera cut.
No, I think that this book should not have won because the book is really confusing. There was only one setting which was kind of boring. On the other side, there were many characters witnessing during the whole trial, especially at the end the final speeches were very long and complicated as it summarized the whole long story.
By reading this book I have experienced a new type of book, the book which is written as a movie script. Some parts you are imagining yourself being in the cinema and watching the movie.

I am curious how the book will end, If he will be convicted or freed. Let’s see.
