The Curious Incident of The Dog In The Night-time
MARK HADDON

Christopher Boone finds himself in Mrs. Shears’ garden late at night, staring at her dog’s dead corpse. Mrs. Shears catches Christopher glaring at the dead poodle. She immediately accuses him of murder.
In order to prove his innocence he interrogates the whole of his neighborhood and finds himself in a strange situation. Not only does he detect the murderer, he also discovers the greatest yet most mournful mystery of his life so far.
To propagate is to spread and promote an idea or theory widely. "There is enough mathematical illiteracy in this country and we don’t need the world’s highest I.Q propagating more."

To irate is to feel or characterize by great anger. "How many irate mathematicians are needed to get you to change your mind?"
