Airborn
Recently, I started reading a book for English, it's called Airborn and is written by Kenneth Oppel. The book is about a boy who works on a luxury cruise ship named "Aurora", it floats around in the air and transports passengers from point A to B. The boy's name is Matt and he works there for around 3 years.  The book has around 380 pages.
Thank you for reading.

Goodnight Mister Tom

The name of the book that I am reading is "Goodnight Mister Tom", by Michelle Magorian. This book has 304 pages. It is the winner of the Guardian Children's Fiction Award in 1982.
I got this book a long time ago but I never thought about reading it because it didn't look very interesting. I chose to read this book because I saw that it was the winner of the Guardian Children's Fiction Award so it must be a good book.

"Goodnight Mister Tom" is set in rural England during World War Two.
It is about a young boy named William (Willie) Beech who lives in London with his mother. He evacuated London to a village in the country side because of the war. Many young children from the city are taken to the country side because it is safer there. He is then taken into Custody of a kind old man named Tom Oakley. Tom Oakley treats Willie with affection and understanding. As the story unfolds it is revealed that his wife and son died. For the past forty years Tom Oakley lived alone, secluded from the rest of the village. Tom Oakley takes care of Willie and he starts understanding more about Willie's past.

One of the main events in the story so far is when Willie Beech is sent to "Little Weirworld", a village in the rural part of England. His mother sent him there because he would be a lot safer in the countryside than in London seeing that World War two was about to start. This is an important event because Willie's life is turned up-side down, he is sent to a different part of England to live with a man who he has never met.

What amazing book am I reading?

What book am I reading?

Recently I have been reading an award winning silver book by Kenneth Oppel, the book is Airborn. Its a really nice and creative book. This book is a book we are all reading in class so i thought i would share with you guys. The reason i chose this was because i thought it was a very interesting book, i really enjoyed it and for those who want or like adventure, mysterious pulse creative books with twists in them I highly recommend this book.

The main key points in this book that i have noticed so far is that the author tries to make something original and puts it a new reality i mean he makes it the opposite, i'm not even sure if that makes sense but for a example heres one. So he takes the main characters that in a real life situation he or she would look  big strong and not something small and skinny and makes the opposite meaning in the book it would be skinny and not masculine.

The reason why i am not saying the characters or agenda of the is because i dont want to spoil the book for other people that have not read the book yet. Any way Thank you for reading!!!

Princess Academy

Hi guys,
I am reading this book named Princess Academy. It is written by Shannon Hale. This book has 314 pages. I have read half of the book till now. I chose this book because Shannon Hale is one of my favorite authors. I have also read a book by her named Goose Girl. The book inspired me to read Princess academy. This book is the winner of the Newbery Honor Book. The book was published in 2005.

The main character in this book is Miri. She is an ordinary girl, who lives on a mountain. She dreams to work in a quarry, but unfortunately she can't because her dad doesn't allow her to.

One day some soldiers sent by the king came to their house. The soldiers told to Miri's family, that they need girls, to be the princess of the prince. Miri didn't wanted to go, but she had to. Her father also couldn't do anything because they had to follow the king's orders. She knew that they won't choose lowlanders(name for people who live on the mountain) to be the princess.
They took the girls to an academy, where they were getting trained to present themself to the young prince. Miri had lots of competitions, which she faced in the academy. While she was in the academy she starts to think, what if the prince chose her to be the princess?  She could have a better life for herself and her family, she would be rich.
I am leaving to you to figure out if she is going to be the princess or not??. I don't know if she is going to be the princess. Hope you enjoyed my blog post.

Airborn Ellie

What am I reading?  AIRBORN!!!!!

I am reading a book called Airborn by Kenneth Oppel. This book is an award winning book and the award is Governor General's Award for English-language children's literature. Airborn was published on February 5, 2004.    I choose to read this book because my teacher passed me this book to read in our class. This book has around 368 pages. The theme of this book is man vs man and man vs nature.  A main part of the book is when the main character, Matt Cruse flew in the air to save a man  named Benjamin Molly. Everyone was cheering for him! Then he flew Benjamin back to the aircraft and saved him.  Benjamin was a very sick man and died a couple days later.  That made me very sad.  I only have read the first two chapters and I can not wait to read more. I think that Matt Cruse will get the job that he wants so much and that he will make a friend.  The rating of this book that I will give it is 10/10 because it is very funny and interesting. I really want to read more!

Airborn

Airborn

The title of this book is Airborn. The author of this book is a very good one and his name is Kenneth Oppel he is also the author of the best selling Silverwing trilogy. This book has a novel average of 368 pages. Th is book is man vs man and man vs nature. This book it set in the early 20th century and they had very advanced technology at the time but technology that would be old fashioned nowadays. This book is fantasy adventure and is very interesting. The rising action is actually at the beginning when Matt Cruse (the main character) rescues a dying man who claims of seeing beautiful creatures. I predict that Matt has no intention of seeing these creatures but ends up doing so anyway. I am reading this book because we are reading it for English. Did you know that Kenneth Oppel published 27 books?!!!! I liked how this book jumped back and forth from a good discovery to a bad one. It made me feel that even if there is a good thing almost always a bad thing try's to contradict it and sometimes it does contradict the good thing.
Nation
  Terry Pratchett

Nation is a book by Terry Pratchett. Terry Pratchett is an English author now suffering from Alzheimer's. It was published in 2008. The book has 403 pages. It is a fictional book, based in the past (maybe 200 or 150 years ago) on the Mothering Sunday's, but called the Sunrise Islands by it's inhabitants. Nation is the name of the island the story takes place on. It is about what happened after a tsunami wiping out the Nation and many other islands.
I chose to read this book for a couple of reasons: a) because I was looking for something to read and this was right in front of me; b) I really enjoy reading stories written by Pratchett and c) because I tried to read this book in fourth grade but gave up, so I tried again.
At the moment I am on page 221. So far the main happenings are: when the tsunami struck, the main character Mau was in a canoe at the time, he survived. Nobody from his home did though. The  only other live soul on the island was a trouserman girl that the wave brought in a big ship. She is the only reason that Mau had not gone into the sea to drawn. As the book goes on, more people arrive. The island is now home to 20-30 people. At the moment I am at the climax...
