Alex Rider is the main character in the book. He is 14 years old, he has dark blond hair, he is well built and strong and trains karate. Alex is intelligent, curious, brave and skilful.
"Now Alex brought up one leg, twisted his body around, and lashed out. The back kick - Ushiro geri- is said to be the most lethal in karate. His foot powered into the mans abdomen with such force that the man didn't have time to cry out."
