A Diamond Planet?

This week, I read an article about a planet, larger than Earth that is made of diamonds. This planet is called, 55 Cancri e; a circling star around 55 Cancri and it takes around 40 light years from Earth to go there but you can see this planet from Earth in dark skies only. One third of this planet is very hot and scientists say that this planet could be made from DIAMONDS. On 2004, this planet was found but it was covered with a light material such as water. The core of this planet is same as the Earth, which is iron and the outer layers could be made of a mixture of carbon, silicates, and silicon carbide. Silicon carbide is an extremely hard mineral with avery high melting point. Scientists say that the carbon might be the diamonds.
