|THE EGYPT GAME (Literary Luminary)

The Egypt Game, by Zilpha Keatley Snyder.
1. [Page 5, Chapter 1.- "It was one day early in a recent September that the Professor happened to be the only witness to the very beginning of the Egypt Game."]
---This is the first time the Egypt Game is mentioned in the book.

2. [Page 17, Chapter 2.- "It had been one of the few things she and Dorthea didn't agree on."]
---This helps us understand the mother-daughter relationship between April and her mother, Dorthea.

3. [Page 20, Chapter 2.- " "My name is April Hall," she said. "I've just come to live in the apartment house next door, with my grandmother. I used to live in Hollywood with my mother."]
---This tells us a bit about April Hall, one of the main characters of the book.

4. [Page 20, Chapter 2.- "As she drifted out the door and back to the Casa Rosada, April wondered  shy she's gabbed so much. It wasn't really like her."]

---This gives us another piece of information about April's personality.

5. ["Caroline's apartment was on the third and top floor and fronted on the avenue."]

---This tells us where April and Caroline live.
