George's Marvellous Medicine.
By Roald Dahl.
This week I am reading The Egypt Game for the Literature Circles, and a nice book called George's Marvellous Medicine.George's Marvellous Medicine is about a young boy named George.
Picture a nice, old granny, sitting in a rocking chair. Now picture a young boy listening to the granny. The granny asks her grandson: "How was school today, dear." Well, I made you think the wrong thing! Whoopsie daisy.
Picture this scene: An ugly, nasty, old granny yelling at a small eight-year old. Now you have the right picture in your head!
George's grandmother is a mean old hag who never stops grumbling and complaining. So our young protagonist decides to give antagonist granny a nice treat!
George runs around the house and put in a huge pan some: GOLDEN GLOSS HAIR SHAMPOO, TOOTHPASTE, SUPERFOAM SHAVING SOAP, VITAMIN ENRICHED FACE CREAM, HAIR REMOVER, DISHWORTH'S FAMOUS DANDRUFF, BRILLIDENT FOR CLEANING FALSE TEETH, DEODORANT SPRAY, LIQUID PARAFFIN, PERFUMES, POWDERS, LIPSTICKS, WASHING MACHINE POWDERS, FLEA POWDER FOR DOGS, CANARY SEEDS, BROWN SHOE POLISH, CURRY/MUSTARD/CHILLI SAUCE/BLACK PEPPERCORNS cans, and many aerosol cans. There were many more ingredients, but I don't think you would like to read that much!
The reaction was a very nice treat for George. The evil coucou flew into the air and smoke began to come out of her mouth and out of her nostrils! YAY! Then our evil character started swelling up, then shrinking, and then she grew over 100 meters tall! Grandma shot straight through the roof, and her feet were still on the ground.
Well, this is the end of this blogpost. I have only gotten this far in my reading.
