A Long Walk to Water

The book I have read for my book report is entitled A Long Walk to Water written by Linda Sue Park.  I have read all 120 pages of it.

The protagonist of this story is Salva Dut. His physical traits are a normal eleven year old boy, with black skin, brown eyes, and very energetic.  His personality traits are being honorable because he saved many of the survivors of the shooting attack in Ethiopia by leading them to refugee camps.  He is also very intelligent because he knew how to survive in the wild and knew the language of the Dinka.  Finally, he is planful because he made a plan that would gather up all the resources that he would need with the survivors.

The antagonist is the Ethiopian government because they sent out troops to kill the people in the refugee camp Salva was staying at.  They do not have physical traits or at least they weren't described in the story.  Their personality traits are cruelty because they killed many of the refugees just because they didn't wan't bother about taking care of them.  Also, they are violent because they killed the refugees just because they did not want to take care of them any more.  Finally, they are unfair because they killed innocent people just because they didn't wan't to provide them with resources.

This is a picture of  Ethiopia.

Thanks for reading and I hope I persuaded you to read the book!
