Hey sixth graders,
I am reading a warrior cat book called Firestars quest. It is a very exiting book with lot's of adventure. It is by Erin Hunter. I am on page 130 out of 500, but I will read it a lot now to get further into the book. For now, the setting of the book is in a forest. It also takes place in the ThunderClan camp. But I know the setting will change later to mountains or rocks. The forest has many tall tree's that are growing rapidly because it is green leaf (in warrior cat language, green leaf is summer. So everything is green and in bloom. Leaf bare is the Winter). The forest floor is covered in tall green grass and thick tangled bracken, with some thorns bushes here and there. In the middle of the forest is a clear hollow with a wall of bracken weaved together to make a big wall. There is a small hole in the wall of bracken for the cat's of ThunderClan can get through. The hollow is where they make their camp. There is a rock with a small, lighted, cave inside. This is wear herbs are stashed in case a cat get's injured or sick. Their is another, bigger, lighted rock, which the leader sleeps in. The other part's of the camp are divided into three sections. There is moss covering the ground so the cat's can have a nice, and comfy, place to sleep. Each section is also guarded by bracken on ether side. To stop intruders that are not from the same clan. The elders sleep in one section, the apprentices sleep in another, and the warriors sleep in the least guarded section because they are the toughest (besides the leader), and protect all the members of their clan.
Below is a quote from the book about the forest:
He had been a leader of ThunderClan for three seasons, and he felt as if he knew every tree, every bramble bush, every tiny path left by mice and voles throughout is territory.

I hope that gives you a good insight on the forest and the ThunderClan camp!
Did you know:
Erin Hunter is not one person. There are actually three or four people working on the warrior books, but they made up one name for all of them to make it easier. If you ask me Erin Hunter is a pretty good choice!
