Russian Roulette

Author: Anthony Horowitz

Russian Roulette
First of all, the book I am reading is Russian Roulette by Anthony Horowitz. This book explains about a first class assassin(the best) growing up and how he became an assassin. This man's name is Yassen Gregorovich. His real name is Yasha but it is surprising how it became Yassen. A small explanation of the title, Russian Roulette is a russian life or death game. You take a gun that you can see the barrel and the usual one is you put one bullet in, you spin the barrel and cock it then put to your head and shoot it into your head if it turns out that the bullet space was empty you spin it again and hand it to your partner and keep on going until someone dies.

This book take's place in many places but starts off in a small town that is now non-existent called Estrov. When it describes what happened to the town just know that it is true fact because Anthony interviewed many people in Russia that have had friends that had lived there. The place that he spends most of his life in is Moskow until one fateful night that changes everything. I think that this book takes place in the present. Here is a quote that tells about the setting, "Then there were the churches and their golden domes, ten times the size of poor St. Nicholas." and, "Kazansky Station. Moscow." Both sentences are from page 98 paragraph 1 and 2. I read 405 out of 405 pages.
