The book I am reading right now is called Four by Veronica Roth. This book is one of the Divergent series books. This book is told in the story of Tobias/Four Eaton's perspective and what had happened before he met Beatrice/Tris. The book starts 2 years before Beatrice/Tris comes to Dauntless when Tobias was still in Abnegation with his father Marcus who abuses him. Tobias goes through apptiude test and he got a result of abnegation. On the choosing day Tobia/Four chooses to be a dauntless so he can escape his father Marcus. In the initiation of Dauntless he has to g through his fears and he only had 4 fears so Amar his instructor so he starts to call Tobias Four. After he passed his initiation he works as a instructor to help initiates though the leader of the Dauntless asked if he would like to be leader because his ranking was first.

Oddity
It means strange or peculiar person
The new girl always laughs when she hears Sam say a oddity of the word.
Embedded
It means to fix (an object) firmly and deeply in a surrounding mass.
There was a embedded thorn in Louise's finger.
