Enders Game- Setting time and Place and Conflict

The setting in Ender's Game is in North Carolina where Ender attends school.  The setting also occurs in  Florida, where Ender 's takes a 3 month leave and in outer space. Most of the story takes place in outer space, where Ender learns how to defeat all the buggers(which are aliens) and the "Queens" (who control the buggers). The year is thousands of years in the future.  The conflict is when Ender has to battle the buggers battalion .  He is 11 years old during this battle, and he only thought it was a test, not real life.  In this battle, Ender lead his battalion, but he did not realize that he was commanding real men that could die.   He only found out after the battle.  When he found out he did not know what to do, he was sad and miserable and lonely.
