The Merry Adventures of Robin Hood

The book that I am reading now is called 'The Merry Adventures of Robin Hood' and is written by Howard Pyle. The main character in the book is Robin Hood who is an outlaw and hides in a forest from the authorities, mainly his nemeses The Sheriff of Nottingham.  Even though he is a criminal, he breaks the law for a good cause, he steals from the rich to give to the poor and starving. The Sheriff has a life long goal to capture Robin Hood and to defeat him but Robin Hood always finds a way to outsmart the Sheriff. The Sheriff's main plan to capture Robin Hood was to put on a talent show where men could show their ability to shoot arrows since he thought Robin would show up to this for sure to show of his talent. Robin outsmarted him, because he did show up but he was in a disguise and only when he won the whole tournament and was safe back in the forest did he reveal to the Sheriff that it was actually him that won the golden arrow. This book is a man vs man situation because is Robin Hood against Sheriff of Nottingham but the Sheriff does in a way represent society since he is the main law at the time.
