Introduction:

The book I am reading is Savvy and the creator of this book is Ingrid Law. I have finished the whole book with 342 pages; it’s quite hard to believe I read that much in that amount of short time period I guess it’s because I got two interested in the book since I do like things with supernatural events.

Setting:

They are two settings in this novel, the first major location is a spot in the border between Nebraska and Kansas, that is where the whole Beaumont family lives, they live there because of the savvy’s they possess its mainly because one of their son Fish’s savvy he has the savvy in other words power to make storms occur usually involving big bodies of water carrying fish.

The second location AKA setting is in the Salina hope hospital. This location is used for Poppa Beaumont as he was involved in a car accident that put him in a devastating comma. The time this takes place is when Mibs is two days after Mibs 13^th birthday party. It’s always important for the Beaumont family members turn 13 because that’s when they develop their savvy meaning superpower.

Conflict: 

The conflict in this novel is that Mibs the main character is 13 and hasn't really yet discovers he savvy she thought that her savvy was bring back things to life because of this turtle she owned that doesn't really seem alive, even though since her dad is in coma due to a car accident she only hopes that her savvy will be able to bring her help needed farther at the Salina hope hospital.  In my opinion the conflict we are dealing here is a combination of man vs supernatural and man vs machine accident. I say its man vs supernatural because Mibs is still trying to find out he savvy which is delayed and I say it is man vs Machine accident because Bibs father has gone through a car accident.
