The author is James Dashner. This book is called the Kill Order. This wonderful book has 340 pages of adventure. Mark(the protagonist) goes through keeping him and his team alive and sane from the infected and the virus itself. The reason it is so hard to protect themselves from the virus is that the people who have the virus want to eat people's flesh. Another problem was that he had to get Deedee, who was immune to the virus away from the heat and to a vantage point. Where she only go through a teleportation device so there would be some hope at saving the human race.
