This book is so amazing because it makes you want to keep reading with all the excitement and funny scenes. another reason is that I love Greek mythology and I love adventure so that book has me hooked every second.

        The setting takes place in meany different places because Percy, Annabeth  and Grover go all around america on their quest. But first the story takes place in New York where Percy is at Yancy Academy for undisciplined children. Percy had been kicked out of every single boarding school he had ever been in. So after an incident with a fight at Yancy Percy was kicked out again. He liked Yancy though even though after a strange thing that happened with his teacher that he thought he had disintegrated things were never the same again. After that he went to his moms apartment in Manhattan. When he got to his mother apartment his fat lazy smelly step father was playing poker with his friends. Percy hated his step father. The following day Percy Go's to long Island long island Montauk with his mother Sally Jackson. After that the other part of the book takes place at camp-half blood  and around America on their quest.

The conflict in Percy Jackson And The Lighting Thief is Man.vs.Man that Percy is blamed for stealing lord Zeus's lighting bolt and has 10 days to return it to Olympus and prevent World War III.
