The protagonist is Captain Short who is trying to kill the antagonist, the full grown bull troll. The Troll is trying to enter the human civilization, restaurant full of people who are in danger. There are kids also. Mrs. Short had to strike even thought the chief told her to wait for the reinforcement. This kind of troll is the meanest one, they are very big and aggressive. To save people in the pizzeria, she fought againts the troll but got in the grip of the troll. The trolls hate the noise and also sharp light. She remembered to use the light on her helmet , she switched that on and the light distroyed the troll.

page #31/32 of the book:
"Holly Short had nut-brown skin, copped auburn hair, and hazel eyes. Her nose had a hook, and her mouth was plump and cherubic, which was appropriate considering Cupid was her great-grandfather. Her mother was a European elf with a fiery temper and willowy figure. Holly, too, had a slim frame with long tapered fingers, perfect for wrapping around a buzz baton. Her ears, of course, were pointed. At exactly three feet in height, Holly was only a centimeter below the fairy average, but even one centimeter can make an awful lot of difference when you don't have many to spare."
