THIS SPOILS A LOT!

Percy, the protagonist faces obstacles such as losing his mother. When he was trying to enter camp half-blood, a minotaur caught his mother and she disappeared into gold dust.  He wanted his mother to come with him, but she said she can't pass, but he insisted so she came and the minotaur took her away and then she was put in the underground. Then Percy went on a quest to find Zeus's lightning bulb and he had to go to the underworld and he knew the quest was dangerous but he actually only wanted to come to save his mom from their. Then Luke stole Hades's helmet and Hades blamed it on Percy, and when Percy found and returned it, he got his mom back!

He also had to face that his friend betrayed him, and that monsters are attacking him (come on people, wouldn't you be scared?) and that's a problem for him too. So he went to camp half blood to be protected.

Another obstacle is that he also does not know who his real dad is! so he is trying to find that, also make new friends in half camp blood, and finally make a decision to stay with his mom for a year or to keep on going in camp half blood. In the end he though how his father will be proud with his choices, so he went to his mom cause Annabeth, his friend also took Percy's advise and went home.
