THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING-LOTR

AUTHOR: J.R.R TOLKIEN
NUMBER OF PAGES: 150/423

Ok! I am planning to finish this book, during the February break. It is pretty good so far. I give it a great 9/10. The action is definitely picking up, and its going to become dynamic! Pippin, Sam and Frodo are on their way to Mount Doom, to destroy the One Ring. The 3 leave the Shire with a huge task on there backs. But things have not been so good so far. The crew are going to the Elven city of Rivendell, to discuss the making of the Fellowship of The Ring. They are nearly killed during their first day by what they call Black-Riders or Nazguls. They also see a Elven group marching through the forest. They go through the forest, and etc..... Now, you are probably asking who are these "Black Riders"? These are also known as Ringwraiths. These where old Man (Race of Men) kings, who where corrputed by the power of their own Rings, and where imprisoned by Sauron. They are his most loyal and powerful servants. In the meanwhile, Gandalf is tricked by Saruman, and imprisoned and he somehow escapes with the help of his loyal friends the good old Eagles. Saruman was a wizard, that used to be against Sauron, and he was a great friend of Gandalf. Here is the main conflict of the story:

Long ago, during the Second age (Now its the third), Elven-Smiths crafted 19 rings, that where given to the free people, the Dwarves, Men and Elves. 3 where given to the immortal Elves, 7 to the craftsmen Dwarves, and 9 to the powerful men. In the land of Mordor (The evil place) Sauron, the Dark Lord was crafting 1 Ring, to rule them all. He put all of his hatred, and power into this ring. With this he attacked. Most of the free cities fell, but only some resisted. A so called "Last alliance of Men and Elves" fought there way into Mordor, and defeated Sauron and killed him. Isildur, the Men Prince had taken the ring into his possesion. Elrond, the Elven king urged on to Isildur to destroy the ring but he refused. Years later, an Orc skirmish killed Isildur, and the ring was lost in a small pond. Deagol, a Hobbit found it 2500 years later. Smeagol known as Gollum, killed Deagol, because he was corrupted by the ring. Many years later, during Bilbo's quest to kill Smaug, he fell into a cave, where Gollum had been hiding in the Misty Mountains. He had taken it from him. After he returned to Bag End in the Shire, many years later he gave the ring to young Frodo Baggins. One day, Gandalf told him he needed to destroy it, because Sauron is searching for it, and with it he will destroy middle earth. So he must destroy the Ring in the fires of Mount Doom!

Now this part of the text is a SPOILER! PLEASE, IF YOU WANT TO READ THE BOOK SKIP THIS PART!
I think, actually I know, Frodo will destroy the ring. With his Fellowship of the Ring, he will fight through middle earth, and will be the survivor of many battles. Many battles will be fought between Sauron and the Free people such as the Battle of Helms deep, Pellenor fields, Black Gate and etc. Gollum will die, and Arragorn II Ellesar will become the new King of Men, and Sauron will die! The Fourth Age starts here!

TUNE IN FOR ANOTHER POST!
