The Protagonist and the Antagonist of "Fever 1793"

The title of the book I am reading is "Fever 1793." The author of the book is Laurie Halse Anderson and the book has 243 pages.

Protagonist

The protagonist of the book is Matilda Cook, she is also called Mattie. Mattie is a 14 - year old girl who lives with her mother and her grandfather. Together they own a coffeehouse in Philadelphia, USA. She seems to be a brave and hard working girl who helps her mother and grandfather to run the coffeehouse everyday. Mattie also has her own dreams for the future, just like any other 14 - year old girl would have.

Antagonist
I don't know yet who the antagonist is, but I don't think it is a person, I think it is a bad fever that kills people quickly.
