Hello everyone! Your first question is going to be why I am reading a book 11 years old? Well, why not take a short journey to the past, and laugh at things so humble to us today, and so majestic 11 years ago? I have read the book numerous times, and I find the cover annoying, but that is ok. Here are 4 very interesting records (They might be heavily out-of-date!):
1. THE WORLDS FASTEST COMPUTER (Not anymore!)- the NEC Earth Simulator at the Yokohama institute for Earth sciences in Japan, is capable of an incredible 35.6 trillion calculations at any given time!
2. TALLEST MAN (Still stands strong!)- Robert Pershing Wadlow, who was 2.72 Meters (8 ft 11 inches)! He died very young due to an infection, only at the age of 18, in June of 1940......
3. LARGEST HANDS OF MAN STILL ALIVE (Not anymore!)- Somalian born Hussain Bissad has the largest hands on a living person!His hands are 26.9 centimeters (10.59 inches)! Robert Wadlow, the tallest man who ever lived, had hands that where 32.3 centimeters (12.75 inches) big!
4.MOST POINTS IN NBA (Still stands!)- Kareem Abdul Jabbar. He scored 38, 387 until he retired in 1989.
How do I feel about this book you are wondering? Well, a Guinness book of world records will never loose its charm. I think that these books offer such a wide variety of many interesting records, ranging from sports to weight, or animals to biology. Conceptually, I do not think that this will ever be out-dated.
Mystery word: SEIZURE. Definition: A sudden attack of disturbances, leading to consequences in terms of health, and the loss of consciousness.
BOOK #2 (GERMAN) "CABIN FEVER-6 DIARY OF A WIMPY KID"

As you might already know, I am a German learner! As a perfect choice for an easy beginners book, I chose something that has already become a classic, Diary of A Wimpy Kid! This book is the 6th out of 8 books in this series.
It is about Greg's winter holiday troubles. The book starts, when the Winter holidays are approaching. He tries to earn money with his friend Rowley, but instead he ends up in some Tabloid news. He has never-ending problems with his brother Rodrick, along with his younger brother Manny.
This book is great! It is a little bit slow-going because of the fact that it is on German, but I give it a 10/10 in all categories. There are no mystery words because it is on German.
