As you all know the book I am reading is called "The Princess Bride" by S. Morgenstern and re-written by William Goldman. It is a classic tale of true love and high adventure. I have finished the book. Buttercup, the protagonist of this novel, is devastated by the loss of her true love Westley. Because Florin and Guilder teeter on the verge of war, she get's kidnapped by a mercenary and his henchman, than she is saved by a pirate, forced to marry Prince Humperdinck, and rescued once again by the same crew who absconded with her in the first place. Along the way she also gets trapped in the Fire Swamp, attacked by a killer rat, and almost killed by Prince Humperdinck.
During the adventrue she stays true to who she is and her love Westley. A brave and courageous girl.
