The name of my book is the lost hero it is part of the series: Heroes of Olympus. I have the read all 551/551 pages of it. The series are by Rick Riordan.
The first obstacle was when these storm spirits were trying to kill them so they fell of the grand canyon but Jason saved them. That day they learnt that they are demi gods.
After that they had to face is they they go to Quebec to the north wind god to ask him for guidance, and that was scary because the god was about to freeze him in a ice sculpture. They learnt that Hera was taking a risk with them.
The next obstacle was when they crash landed in Detroit. There they encountered Northan Cyclopes, it was danger es because Jason was knocked out and Piper and him were both dangling over a massive cauldron.Though in the end Leo saved them. They learnt that Leo could summon fire and of course he was immune to it.
The fourth obstacle was when they met this enchantress that could persuade them to do any thing. It was scary because she managed to get Leo and Jason to say bad things about each other then they were about to kill each other but Piper saved the day. They learnt that Pipers power to persuade was very good and very helpful and her knowledge about ancient Greek monsters was very helpful because she new the ways how hey got killed the first time so that would help them kill her again.
The fifth obstacle was when they crash landed (again) in Omaha Nebraska. There they met king Midas it was scary because he turned Piper and Leo into gold but Jason saved the day. The learnt that Jason can summon lightning.
And I wont say anything more not to ruin the whole story.
