Hi people!
This blog post will be kind of crazy but it still explains a lot!
So, I am reading Percy Jackson, he first book which is The Lightning Thief! It is very interesting and a lot of things happen so there is no main climax actually, but I think the biggest climax was when Percy had to go to the underworld.
Some of you (who haven't read the book (yet) ...) are probably wondering who will ever go to the underworld? what's the point? to get killed? Well you are all wrong! (if you were thinking that!!!!)
Poor little Percy Jackson went to the underworld because he, was on and adventurous and scary and life-threatening quest! Well he was supposed to go on the quest to find Zeus's big, bold and bright lightning bolt that controls the sky! (not the sky in our class...) .
But before he knew about this stolen item, on his way to camp half blood his mom disappeared because a minotaur caught her and turned her into gold dust! He thought she "died" but no one dies in this book... he goes to... THE UNDERWORLD!
So he loved his mother and he had "no father" although he had a father which was Poseidon but he didn't know cause his mother was married to some old cranky and smelly guy named smelly Gabe and he was really mean and she was really sweet, and Percy had only one person in his "real" family (his mom) and he found out that she could be "un-dead" and brought back from the underworld, and he only wanted to save his mom. That is the only reason he went to the underworld, but he was supposed to go to bring back the lighting bolt from the thief which wasn't Hades but they thought it was!
In the end he failed to save his mother, but Hades said if he returns what he stole from him, his helmet which Percy didn't steal but Luke his friend did and he betrayed him stole (he also stole the lightning bolt and blamed it on Percy) would be returned then Hades will give Percy his mom back!
Percy met his dad, on the empire state building, and also his dad was sorry to Percy that he made him born (because Poseidon thought having powers was bad for Percy) and then Hades returned his mom cause Percy found the helmet, that Ares which he met on the way stole and Ares, Kronos and Luke were working together to make war and sadness and a mess.
In the end his mom made Gabe a statue from Medusa's head (that he cut off earlier) and she had money and he came back to his mom and everything was good in the end!!!!
It might be confusing because you just didn't read the whole book and it's realllllllllly complicated!!!!!!
