This book is a award winning book. I would never pick this book if I was looking for something to read about in my free time, that's why this is a big challenge for me. In the first 30 pages of the book that I read, Mary Slice goes to her grandmother's house. It is the first time she goes there without her brother. Her grandmother is a very strange woman who doesn't even say hello to her grand daughter who she didn't see over a year. The first day she comes, she has to go to school. It is very hard for her in school because she gets bullied by a very big ugly girl whoose very mean. Her nameis Mildred. Her grandma is a very clever women who likes to help others when the situation is related to her. Grandma loves to pull pranks, and is working on one right know. Read the story and find all about tha prank she pulled on the foolish boys who tried to walk in her garden. To ,e the story is a little it boring because there is not much action happening in it.
