                    The book I'm reading is Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine. The book is about a fifteen year old girl who's been cursed by a fairy to be obedient to all. This story is a summary of her first year without her beloved mother, getting exposed to all dangers and fears of being obedient to things you do/ do not want to do. "For how could she truly belong to herself if she knows that anytime, anyone can order her to hop on one foot, cut off her hand, or betray her kingdom     and she'll have to obey?" (front inside cover of the book)

                      The author of Ella Enchanted is Gail Carson Levine. Gail Carson Levine is an American author born on September 1947 who always had passion for writing and illustrating children's books. She recreates fairy tales and adds an interesting twist to them. Her first novel was Ella Enchanted, a twisted novel of Cinderella. She also wrote a book about her father's childhood and added fiction twists to it. I like Levine's writing style because she uses great detail and explanatory language. (found on Wikipedia)
