Dead End in Norvelt

2012 Newbery Medal winner
Author: Jack Gantos
Pages: 341 (read 40)

The Newbery Medal is annually awarded by the "American Library Association" to the author with the most important, and fascinating contribution kids literature in America. This 'tradition' was established in 1922 and, like I said earlier, is presented by the "American Association for Library Service to Children", part of the "American Library Association". This award is named for John Newbery (1713-67), a British man who published kids books.

The book (so far) is about a boy psyched to go on vacation when he gets grounded and is given a punishment. (which I hope will lead into some awesome stuff)
