Alice in Wonderland

Since my last blogpost, I have read about Alice's very strange conversation with the Mock Turtle and the Gryphon. The Mock Turtle told Alice about his lessons at school which included Mystery (ancient and modern), Washing, French, Music, Reeling, Writhing, Arithmetic, Drawling, and Seaography. Then the Gryphon and the Mock Turtle describe a dance known as the Lobster Quadrille to Alice. You form two long lines along the seashore, advance twice with a lobster as your partner, change lobsters, throw the lobsters out to sea, swim after them, turn a somersault in the sea, and go back to land. They dance, the Mock Turtle sings, and Alice uncorrectly recites poetry, but then they are all summoned to the trial.
