Arthur Dent wakes up one morning to find a bulldozer going to flatten his house to make way for a bypass. Arthur lies in front of the bulldozer to stop it from demolishing his house. Then along comes his friend Ford Prefect and tells Arthur he has to come to the pub with him.
Arthur refuses to so Ford asks the man that is in charge to lie in front of the bulldozer while he and
Arthur go to the pub. Ford drags
Arthur to the pub saying he has to tell him something important. At the pub Ford ask for six pints of beer. He tells Arthur that he is not from Earth but from a small planet somewhere in the vicinity of Beetlejuise and that the Earth will be destroyed in five minutes by a Vogon constructor fleet.
