The main conflict in this book is internal, due to the curse the fairy Lucinda cast on her. She also has to live her life as an obedient person and that is hard for her for she lives in a more f a magical than normal world with all these giants, fairies, ogres, elves and more. I finished the book, and Ella breaks the horrid curse when she refuses to get married with Prince Charmont after he ordered her to. She did that out of will to not harm the prince because if she gets married to him and is still obedient that would be problematic for him, her, and their country, Kyrria.
