The Slave Dancer- Conflicts

The internal conflict of Jessie Bollier is that he wants to stop the slavery. Jessie is a teenager, and he sees very sad things happening to the black people: they get kicked, whipped, and killed. He hates seeing black people treated differently from other humans. Jessie has a conflict with Clay Purvis, because Clay enjoys mocking Jessie  Clay often mocks Jessie, but he always stands up to Jessie when he is sad.
The conflict between Jessie Bollier and Clay Purvis was solved, because Clay comforts Jessie when Jessie was homesick and lonely. Jessie never managed to stop the slavery, unfortunately, but when he returned to his family, Jessie told his family about his experiences and what he saw on The Moonlight, so he raised awareness of the slavery.
