The main character in this book is Roy. He and his family moved many times because of his dads work. Roy is a blacked hair and not so tall boy. He is kind and polite and if he is in danger he will do anything to defend himself. He is determined to stand up for himself no matter what the consequences. He cares about his friends and that his parents don't worry about him because he is a  only child and because he had experience with bullying before.
