this book is about the young version of sherlock holmes, in this book sherlocks friend: Matty becomes kidnaped by a bunch of goons. they took Matty to new york and sherlock followed all they way with Matties sister Verginia on the way they get caught by the kidnapers but than escaped into the train with Matty. and thats all ive read so far.
