Downriver Main Problems In The Story

Downriver
Will Hobbs
235 pages

The main problem in the story is that some children from a program for juvenile delinquents (in some way a camp) want to escape by stealing some rafts and going down the river. As you see on the picture at the right they are going through some big boulders and some waves. When they are in the river they experience lots of dangers and some injuries. For example at one point of the story when they are out of the river and taking a break a girl who was going with them hit herself on the head and had to have stitches. The other friends who were with her did not know what to do. Then they were searching through the first aid boxes on the boats for the threads for that were needed to do stitches. When they found it there was a problem. The problem was that was that they were only kids and they did not know how to do stitches. Luckily one of them knew something about it because he had done stitching to sheep because he was a shepherd.

So as a conclusion I think that this story is very adventurous but is also a dangerous and can be a little disgusting. I hope I get my hands on the second book for the next book report that we are going to do!

  1. Hi Anastasis, I like how you got me (the reader) through their struggles so simply but informatively. Next time maybe narrow what your saying and describe it in greater detail.
