Because of Winn-Dixie (Anyone else getting tired of writing the same title over and over?) - Madison

The climax in Because of Winn-Dixie is when Opal and Gloria Dump have a party with everyone in Naomi. An unexpected thunderstorm buffeted the party, and everyone rushed inside. Opal did as well, but in the rush, she forgot about Winn-Dixie's pathological fear of thunderstorms. Opal ran outside, calling for Winn-Dixie, but it was no use. She and her father, the preacher, searched all over Naomi for Winn-Dixie, but alas, he was gone. Both Opal and her father cried that night.
I can tell that this is the climax because it's the exciting part that really makes you dig your nose farther in the book. It also is before the resolution, which is agreeably reasonable.
