Becoming Naomi León is about a young girl called Naomi Soledad León Outlaw, she lives with her little brother Owen and her great grand-mother. Naomi is a very quiet girl who had selective mutism as a kid. Owen is a very smart kid but he has on leg shorter then the other and as a kid he had a lot of problems. The Mother had left these children to Gram (they're great grandmother) when they were little. Suddenly one day, after she had left them for seven years, she comes back and the children learn the truth about what happened. This is set in Lemon tree, California in a more present time around the 21st century.
